Hello, my name is Jordan Flatt, and I am currently a Master of Social Work student at the University of South Florida, practicing as an intern clinician.I was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. I made the move here to Tampa, Florida, in 2018 and received my Bachelor (B.A.) in Psychology from the University of Tampa. I chose the path of social work in order to have the opportunity to both directly work with clients and advocate for my clients at a macro level. My preference is to take a person-centered, strengths-based approach with my clients
Greetings! I'm Kay, a graduate student at the University of South Florida pursuing a master's degree in social work, specializing in trauma therapy for marginalized communities. With a foundation in psychology and six years of public school teaching experience, I bring a diverse perspective to my studies and future practice. My passion lies in utilizing solutions-focused and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approaches to empower clients. Together, we'll work collaboratively to identify strengths, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and achieve meaningful goals.
Outside of academia, I prioritize quality time with my son. Whether exploring Disney World or enjoying nature walks, these moments are invaluable to me. As an Indo-Caribbean individual, I approach my work with cultural sensitivity and understanding. I'm committed to professionalism and dedicated to making a positive impact through my work in social work and trauma therapy.
